IT Report

Netmatters have developed a detailed IT Report for all IT clients. The IT Report is aimed at director level and contains everything you need as a business owner to make informed decisions about how to move your IT systems forward.

The IT Report consists of the following sections:

Recommendations, this is where any IT issues or opportunities are identified. Netmatters clearly describe each item and then provide costed solutions for each, enabling you as the client to make an informed decision on what to do next.

In this section, we aim to show more than one solution to any given problem.

Hardware/Software Summary
This section is a high level view of the companies equipment, this simply lists out the number of PCs, number of Macs, number of Servers ..Network printers etc

Recommended hardware/software budget:
The recommend IT budget, provides a figure you should allow for replacing your IT equipment and software to adhere to the industry standard of replacing IT equipment every 3.5 years.

Current ICT Hardware/Software
This section shows a slightly more detail on the company equipment, listing quantities and replacement costs of the equipment.
A useful figure to have to ensure you are not paying too much or too little for content insurances.

Protection Software
This section shows which machines are covered by antivirus protection and backup software.
Again good to know you are all covered.

Serial Numbers
Recorded as part of the IT Audit, this information is often needed by hardware suppliers when equipment is being returned or again useful information to have on file for your insurance company.

Items Past Renewal Date
This section refers to the 3.5 recommended replacement cycle, any items outside of this time frame are shown individually in this section. This can then be used to prioritise and plan hardware/software replacement.

Items in Store
Not applicable to all companies, but some large firms often hold IT equipment in stock, its great to know what you have in stock, when considering what you need to buy for a new member of staff or opening a new office.

Recycled Items
Netmatters aim to recycle old IT equipment which has been replaced or upgraded. Netmatters perform and industrial data clean before donating the equipment to charity. Financial directors often need to know when equipment has been recycled so it can be written off in the company accounts.

Commented Items
Used by the support team to identify issues relating to specific items of equipment, either causing recurring problems or used to highlight the extent of a problem shown in the recommendations section.
